The JP331 Rath is John Packer's flagship medium-large bore Bb/F tenor trombone, crafted in collaboration with Michael Rath, a leading UK trombone specialist. This instrument boasts an exceptional level of craftsmanship and incorporates exclusive components not found on other trombones.The custom-designed Rath leadpipe on the JP331 contributes to excellent response across all registers, offering support for players of varying experience levels. Additionally, the trombone features an ergonomic thumb lever that is easily adjustable for smaller hands. The closed-wrap design and counterweight ensure optimal balance, allowing younger players to maintain good posture beyond the 4th position.
