What is NAPBIRT?

The instrument repair industry has a trade organization called the

National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians (NAPBIRT)

All of our repair technicians are memebers of NAPBIRT.   They routinely attend Regional Clinics, NAPBIRT University Courses, and/or the Annual National Conference held in Illinois with the intent to further their training and skills, or be a guest clinician and lecture on repair topics.

Brian Stevenson of Rocky Montain Music Repair

Brian Stevenson

Owner of Rocky Mountain Music Repair by day and a Euphonium playing - board game enthusiast by night.

Brian is highly active in the repair community by lecturing across the

country on various repair topics.

Has been repairing since 2007.

Deanna Stevenson

Financial brains of Rocky Mountain Music Repair.  You can find her in the office doing paperwork or repairing brass instruments.  Deanna studied as a music education major at ASU and plays clarinet, alto clarinet being her favorite.  She has been brass repairing since 2013.

Emily & Sawyer

Both Emily and Sawyer make up the welcoming committee of Rocky Mountain Music Repair.  Emily is also the the advertising manager and Sawyer is the official mascot.

Chris McPherson

Chris is the Education Representative for RMMR, acting as a link between the teachers and the store. As a bass player, he has a soft spot for disco balls and funky rhythms. He graduated from the Community College of Denver in 2021 with an associates in business and joined the RMMR team in 2022.

Jenna Timm

Jenna is our front of house retail specialist, she will assist you with finding the perfect instrument or the correct supplies you need.  She has also been cross trained as a saxophone tech because she has a great eye for detail.  She plays saxophone and Jenna joined RMMR in 2023.

Sean Blakely

Sean is awesome but hasn't written his bio yet.  He is a recent band repair tech graduate from Renton Technical College.

He marched Oregon Crusaders in 2017.

Sean joined RMMR in 2023.

Josh Ressler

Josh loves to repair brass instruments, fitting since he is a bass trombone player himself.  He graduated Renton Technical College in 202 with a repair certificate.  He enjoys sitting around fires trying to play banjo and can't stop buying multi-tools.  Josh marched Impulse in 2016-2017 and Pacific Crest 2018-2020.  Josh joined the RMMR team in 2024.

Lorraine York

Lorraine is fantastic front desk help during the back-to-school season.  Need a rental & supplies?  She can help you out.

While never playing a band instrument herself, she was always supportive of Deanna being in band and was the

"water mom"
