Buescher Alto Sax. Model: ‘Big B’ True Tone. Made in Elkhart, Indiana. Serial Number dates this beauty to 1940-1941. Professional alto sax that features lacquer finish, left hand bell keys, drawn tone holes, original snap-in pad system with newer pads, soldered post construction which contributes to the horn’s open, resonant feel. True Tones are prized for its expansive, vocal sound and unmistakable vintage character. Approximately 95–98% original lacquer remaining. Exceptionally clean with minimal signs of use — this instrument has been clearly well cared for and presents very close to “like new.” Serial # 2979xx. Consignment horn, sold-as; evaluated by our repair staff and found to be in excellent playing condition, with no outstanding mechanical issues at time of sale.
