Selmer Alto Sax.  Model: Mark VI.  Made in France.  Professional level saxophone.  This sax from 1955 comes from what many players and collectors consider the heart of the Mark VI era — years prized for consistency, response, and unmistakable character. This example retains approximately 85% original lacquer, presenting beautifully while still carrying the subtle visual warmth that only time can impart. Has wear on the palm keys that are covered with palm key risers, and on the back of the horn near the neckstrap ring.  Features classic Mark VI body proportions and bore design for depth, projection, and flexibility; traditional Selmer keywork that feels organic and deliberate under the fingers; blue-steel springing for a quick, expressive response; and rib-mounted construction that provides stability without dampening resonance.   Exceptionally clean with minimal signs of use — this instrument has been clearly well cared for.  Serial # 608xx.   Consignment horn, sold-as; evaluated by our repair staff and found to be in excellent playing condition, with no outstanding mechanical issues at time of sale.
