The John Packer JP332O Rath Bb/F Tenor Trombone is a large-bore F-attachment trombone designed in collaboration with Michael Rath. It features a .547" bore, 8.5" high-grade brass bell, high-grade brass body, lacquer finish, one rotary valve, one water key, and a Michael Rath-designed leadpipe. The JP332O is John Packer's flagship open-wrap Bb/F tenor trombone, built to give advancing players more power, projection, and low-register flexibility than a medium-bore student instrument.
This is a strong choice for advancing high school players, college-bound students, community band musicians, and trombonists ready for a fuller large-bore sound. The open-wrap F-attachment supports smoother airflow through the valve section, while the adjustable thumb lever can help players find a more comfortable hand position. It is especially well suited for concert band, orchestral playing, brass band, and the lower parts in big band settings
New John Packer instruments include a 2-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original date of purchase. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and are subject to normal exclusions, including wear and tear, abuse, mishandling, cosmetic/finish issues, and unauthorized repair work.
