This new John Packer JP2053 Marching Baritone is a lacquer-finish marching baritone in Bb, designed to give marching ensembles a darker tone than trombone while staying brighter and more direct than euphonium. It features a large .571" bore, a forward-facing 10" high-grade brass bell, three stainless steel piston valves with nylon valve guides, three lever-style water keys, and a lyre box. The JP2053 is built to be balanced for marching use while still producing a full, rich sound that can blend well in the ensemble. It includes a mouthpiece, valve oil, tuning slide grease, and a strong ABS hard plastic case.

This is a great choice for marching bands, pep bands, schools, or programs looking to add a strong middle-low brass voice with excellent projection and a darker tonal color than trombone. The large bore and forward-facing bell help give the instrument a broad sound on the field while keeping articulation clear and focused. When purchased in-store, this instrument includes a 1-year RMMR warranty covering corks, felts, and minor adjustments. Please note that the warranty is not valid on shipped sales.

New John Packer instruments include a 2-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original date of purchase. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and are subject to normal exclusions, including wear and tear, abuse, mishandling, cosmetic/finish issues, and unauthorized repair work.
