The Hercules DS553B Tuba/Euphonium Performance Stand is designed to support larger low brass instruments while the player is seated and playing. Unlike a storage stand that simply holds the instrument between uses, this performance stand helps position the tuba or euphonium at a more comfortable playing height, which can reduce strain on the arms, shoulders, neck, and back during longer rehearsals or practice sessions.
This stand is especially useful for younger tuba players, players using larger instruments, or anyone who struggles to comfortably balance a heavy horn while playing. The adjustable 3-position support allows the player to set the instrument at a more comfortable angle, while the strong tripod legs and low-profile base provide stability without taking up excessive space around the chair. Hercules lists the DS553B with a height range of 15.7"-24", a 55.1 lb. load capacity, and a compact one-piece folding design.
