This Conn New Wonder II soprano saxophone, often referred to as the 'Chu Berry' era model, is a professional-level soprano sax made in the USA between approximately 1927 and 1928. Conn saxophones from this period are known for their vintage American character, distinctive tone, and beautiful engraving. This instrument features drawn and rolled tone holes, mother-of-pearl rollers, a matte silver body with silver cups, a signature nail file G# key, and low pitch gold-plated bell. It also includes the original Conn mouthpiece with microtuner. It has been professionally repadded and serviced by our in-house repair technicians, including new corks, felts, and all new pads. It was repadded with MusicMedic tan pads with plastic domed resonators and includes a new Protec case.

This is a great choice for a serious saxophonist, collector, vintage saxophone enthusiast, or player looking for a unique professional soprano saxophone with classic Conn sound and design. The New Wonder II soprano has a very different feel and tonal personality than many modern sopranos, making it especially appealing for players who value vintage response, projection, and character. When purchased in-store, this instrument includes a 1-year RMMR warranty covering corks, felts, and minor adjustments. Please note that the warranty is not valid on shipped sales.
