This Cabart Wood Oboe is an intermediate-level oboe made in France, likely from the pre-Loree era of the 1960s?1970s. Built with a grenadilla wood body, this oboe features plateau-style keywork and a near-conservatory key system, giving advancing players a more capable setup than a basic student oboe while still keeping the layout approachable. It has been professionally repadded and serviced by our in-house repair technicians to ensure maximum playability, including new corks, felts, and all new pads. It was repadded with Prestini PR-PN3M Double White Bladder Medium Woven Felt pads and includes a new Protec MAX case.
This is a good choice for an advancing student, returning oboist, or player looking for a French-made wood oboe with more tonal depth and character than a resin student model. The grenadilla wood body offers a warmer, more traditional oboe sound, while the near-conservatory keywork gives players access to more advanced technique and repertoire. When purchased in-store, this instrument includes a 1-year RMMR warranty covering corks, felts, pads, and minor adjustments. Please note that the warranty is not valid on shipped sales.
